The 12th Regional Conference of Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 3 – 7 May 2022 under the theme: ‘Combating Corruption for Good Governance and Sustainable Development in Africa’.
The Conference is jointly organised by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Government of Rwanda and will bring together members of the Association of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa, senior government officials, relevant international organisations, policymakers, and development partners to address key priorities towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 16. They will share knowledge and good practices and discuss the impacts of corruption on sustainable development in Africa and innovative approaches in the fight against corruption.
The Conference has been held annually since its inception in 2011. This year’s conference will be held in person after two years of lockdowns and travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Commonwealth Secretary-General, The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC, will take part as a special guest and deliver welcoming remarks.
