The Commonwealth Symposium on Climate Finance will take place on 24 -25 June in St. Julian's, Malta and will be the first international climate finance gathering of its kind. The event is being organised by the Commonwealth Climate Finance Access Hub (CFAH) and the Commonwealth Small States Centre of Excellence (CSSOE).
Participants at the symposium will have the opportunity to learn from the practical lessons and experiences of the CFAH. The meeting will also provide a platform for representatives of Small Island Developing States, Least Developed Countries, developmental practitioners, international institutions, governments, civil society organisations, private sector, research and academic institutions as well as CFAH national advisers to review the financing needs and challenges facing some of the most climatically vulnerable countries.
The symposium is designed to:
- Share the experience of CFAH and improve the effectiveness of its response to Commonwealth small states’ needs and perspectives
- Lay the groundwork for the expansion of CFAH to the Climate Finance Access Service (CFAS) - a global program in partnership with several other international organisations.
For more information or to express your interest in participating in the symposium, please enquire in writing to Marcela Tarazona [email protected] and Uju Maduforo [email protected]!
This event will be live streamed.
