The Commonwealth is hosting its fifth regional meeting for the Caribbean heads of anti-corruption agencies in the Cayman Islands from 3-7 June 2019.
The meeting provides a platform for the heads to review national and regional anti-graft efforts and share good practices towards ending illicit financial flows.
Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland will speak at the opening of the meeting, which will focus on the theme of ‘Transforming words into action: revitalising the fight against corruption’.
The meeting is being organised in collaboration with Cayman Islands’ Commission for Standards in Public Life and the Association of Integrity Commissions and Anti-Corruption Bodies in the Caribbean.
The meeting aims to leverage the convening power of the Commonwealth to enhance south-south learning and sharing of local and international experiences in the region. The south-south cooperation is defined as the exchange of expertise between governments, organisations and individuals in the southern hemisphere.
