This International Women’s Day, the Commonwealth Blue Charter programme and Fisheries and Oceans Canada are joining up to embrace equity and celebrate women’s achievements in ocean action, ocean science and the sustainable blue economy.
Does your work involve the ocean? Do you live by the sea and are proud of your coastal community? Are you studying marine science or related area? Are you passionate about protecting the vast blue natural wonder, which millions of species call home?
Then we’d love to hear your experiences and amplify your voice!
Send us a short video of yourself telling us about what the ocean means to you and how we can support each other to lift up women in this sector (even better if you can include your local beach, waterway or ocean).
Your submissions will be shared on our social media channels and will feature in a special production to be unveiled during an online event on Earth Day, 22 April 2023.
