The Commonwealth Secretariat will mark the occasion of the second International Day of Sport for Development and Peace to highlight the role that young people throughout the Commonwealth play in the use of sport as a tool to deliver development outcomes, such as improved health, education, gender equality and youth development.
The day’s activity will include a social media debate on Twitter, advocacy for SDP to member governments by the Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace working group, an expert round table and lecture event at Marlborough House.
